Register early for the Salsa Dance Intensive, a workshop weekend in Port Townsend,
co-produced by Century Ballroom, Centrum & Madrona MindBody Institute.
The weekend runs from Thursday, 3/18, through Sunday, 3/21.

Special Notes for the February/March session:
Since the Michael Jackson Tribute and Single Ladies Video classes are 90 minutes each, the cost is $80 (or $75 with the early registration discount)
You may drop into individual Michael Jackson Tribute classes for $18 each. Space is only guaranteed if you register for the series, though so far we've had room for everyone
Thursday and Friday classes begin a week early, on 2/11 and 2/12.
General Class Information:
We offer ongoing five week class series, along with occasional four week mini-sessions and weekend workshops.
No partner required (except for our special 'couples' classes, when offered). However, to keep our classes balanced we sometimes have to limit registration for people without a partner.
Held at the Century Ballroom (915 E Pine St) or HaLo (500 E Pike St), unless otherwise noted. Be sure you know where your class is located.
In order to better balance classes, we encourage you to register early to ensure there is space available for you. Those who register at the door will be admitted to class as space allows.
If you are paying by check, please check online or call the office to make sure there is still space in the class before sending in your registration.
No street shoes in HaLo, please. Please clean off a pair of shoes at home and change into them when you get to HaLo.
Regular series classes:
Length: one hour per week
Cost: $60 for a 5-week series, $50 for a 4-week series ($5 early registration discount if payment received at least one week before class.)
You are only guaranteed a spot in class if you have preregistered and prepaid. If you have not prepaid and you do not show up to the first class, we may give your spot away.
Drop-ins to our series classes are allowed if you have already taken the class and if the class is out of balance in your favor. $15 / class
In addition, our online review videos are available to all students in any session of Salsa 1, Salsa 2a, Salsa 2b, Lindy Hop 1, West Coast Swing 1 or West Coast Swing 2a. Just click the links and login! For those without high speed internet access, a CD is available containing the review video as a QuickTime movie.
Drop-in classes:
On Mondays we offer a drop-in Intermediate Salsa Footwork class from 6:45p-7:30p at HaLo (immediately before our weekly Salsa Practica). There is no pre-registration for this class, and it skips weeks that we are not offering our regular series classes. $10/each, or buy a five class card for $35 (no expiration)

Practicing
It is great practice to attend any of our dances, but on Mondays and Tuesdays we host practicas and dances geared to our students. While they are open to everyone, registered students will receive discount cards good for $2 off the cover charge on these days.
The Practicas are:
Tuesdays at Century: Tango Practica (9:30p-12:00a)
Tuesdays at West Hall (across the hall from Century): West Coast Swing Dance (9:00p-11:00p)
We also offer online review videos for several of our classes. You will receive a login and password to access the videos while you are in class. If you don't have access to high speed internet we can provide a CD with QuickTime movie versions. To stream the video online, click on the link below for your class. Please note that they may take a couple minutes to load, depending on your connection.
You can also download the videos by right-clicking (Windows) or control-clicking (Mac) and saving them to your computer. While many players can play these videos, we recommend Apple's free QuickTime player, which you can download here.
Cost is $50/hr individual; $75/hr couple. Some instructors charge extra on weekends so double check cost when booking your appointment. We prefer payment in cash although most instructors will also take a check (payable directly to the instructor). No credit cards, please.
